What a Day
Had the perfect weather to make an exploratory trip out to the rocks and wrecks. Ran over an hour to the first spot and found only shorts and some small sea bass. Continued off a few more miles to some sharp snags and found the big fluke. The Barker put on a bucktail clinic, showing how it's done. We lost some tackle but the keepers ran from four to six pounds. A stop on a wreck on the way home produced some triggerfish (Evelyn had a double header) and some more fluke. The big ones are still around but they are not so easy to catch. A little innovation and hard work is paying off.
