ST. Patrick's Day

Years back, today was the "unofficial" opening day of flounder season. This winter it seems like spring is still way off as the Jersey shore is covered in snow and it is only 25 degrees. This winter will be remembered as one of the longest. It started in November with snow and very cold temperatures and shows no sign of letting up in the long term forecast. The Snowy owls are still around and we got a close up view of one yesterday. They may never leave.
