Fluke Opener

We headed out yesterday to scout for fluke in advance of opening day. A few of the regulars were on the beach waiting on the tide and bluefish. We were all alone out at some of our favorite spots and did not have a touch until the bluefish arrived. I quickly took off our good bucktails as to not have them ruined, and a change in tactics made for a fun morning with many bluefish releases. We will try the fluke next week with a different tide. Looking good for Sunday's sea bass and ling trip, that fishing has been lights out.
