Sunday Afternoon

The travel ban was lifted at 1PM, so Evelyn and I went to check the boat. I took a round about way on main streets to avoid flooding. It didn't work. Detour this way-no good -back up, turn around, finally I got on the Turnpike extension to avoid the floods! The park was closed due to the flooding but the rangers let us park and walk in. Good thing we had our boots. Walked down to the boat and there she was, sitting like a duck in a pond, like nothing ever happend. The overcast, dark sky and strong NW breeze gave it an October feel. Fishing will resume later in the week. It should be interesting.
