Father's Day Weekend

Saturday was a very nice day. Ron, Don, John and Don had a great Father's day trip catching a mess of nice fluke and going home with some good fillets for dinner. Sunday we headed down to Coney Island and found some rough seas, so it was back to the bay and the gamble paid off. The drift never got too fast and we picked at some big fish. Roger had three nice ones but lost a real big one... Twice! He hooked a big fish that would not move off the bottom only to come unbuttoned. Dropping back down the fish bit again and then came off half way up. I made him throw the hook away. Skip had his limit including a couple of 5lbers. Tom K. and Keith K. came out for Father's day and had a pair of 6lbers. in their catch. Ken won the pool with a 27 inch 7lber. It's big fluke time.
