Weekend Report

Saturday, Evelyn and I hosted Tom K., "Staten Island" Tony, Bayonne Bob, Keith, Scott and Ashton. It turned out to be a great day with nice weather and big fluke biting. We also had a bonus of bluefish and big Cow Nosed Rays. The boys had fun landing some rays in the thirty pound class and the fluke averaged four to six pounds. The crew ended the day with 3/4 of a five gallon pail of fluke fillets! I tried to repeat the trip on Sunday, but the wind machine was turned on and we had to battle adverse conditions, but managed to put a few dinners in the boat. Roger was the star of the day with a thirty pound Tampa Bay ray and a six pound fluke to go with his other keepers and the pool winnings.
