Fishing with Old Friends

After a nice day Tuesday, Capt George talked us in to going again Friday. The weather was so nice all week (the daffodils in the park were in full bloom) we figured it would continue. Not so,as we were greeted by 20 to 30 knot NW winds and a winter day. There was a good turn out of fisherman aboard the Angler, and it was good to see Capt Jerry from the Pioneer II and "Duck Hunter" John. Lots of old time stories and catching up on lifes events. As for the fishing, the first drop was pretty good- Evelyn caught a mess of ling and I had a 5lb blackfish and the rest of the day was just a pick in the windy conditions. I did jig up a dozen mackeral that made for a tasty dinner. The long range weather still looks nice so we may try again.
