More Big Fluke

The "Tugboat" Fred crew were back again this Friday and filled the fillet bags with fish up to 6 1/2lbs. Saturday was one of the most fun days ever. Skip, "Mittens" Mike, Joey "Bottles",Brian and Anthony "The Barker" along with Evelyn and I set out on a mission to catch Big Moe. Anthony is the most intense fluke fisherman I have ever seen and he has caught many big fluke with me over the years. The boys (and the girl) were steadily filling the box with big fish but Anthony was having a tough time. After landing a 7 3/4lb. early in the day, he went into a slump and was catching shorts and talking to himself. Joey had the hot hand and landed seven keepers, most in the 4 to 6lb. range and was hooked up most of the day. Mittens landed a 6lber. and was disappointed that it was "only a little one." Around 1PM and after a pep talk from Joey, the Barker finally got a hold of his personal best, and joined the ten pound club. The fillets from the days catch crowned a five gallon pail! Sunday the current was a little difficult and the bite was off a little. Some big fish were lost at the boat but not all of them. Ken "The Legend" landed an 8 1/4lber.
